New A&W workgroup: Care & Well-being

February 2011 – In response to the closure of the Schakelpunt Care Centre, former Centre volunteer’s and interested residents decided to try and restore the services formerly provided to the elderly Borneocomplex residents and at the same time help them rebuild the social structure they enjoyed before the closure.

This initiative has led to the setting up of a working group and a temporary solution to the lack of social interaction between the residents in the form of five coffee mornings in one of the Borneocomplex resident’s apartment, and more recently a recreational afternoon.

The members of the working group will do their best to realize or maintain reliable and permanent facilities in the area of care and well-being within our community and would be glad of your input.
